Wish

Hi again, it's only 2 more days to go till Christmas and 8 days till New Year. Talking about New Year, have you achieved what you wish for in 2008? Some would probably just go with the flow and some would make it a habit to list down on what to achieve and be a better/successful person each year.

Some would even put an increment in salary in their list, expect to be promoted to a better post or even get another job (that is if they're working..if not...start searching for job).

Whatever it is........we all just pray and hope for a better world. PEACE

Internet....oooh......Internet

Hi peeps, just for your info. remember about the problem that my dept. is having with the internet line..........well...............the line is still down (since Hari Raya Ooooh). We just been informed that the contractor; who is responsible with the work; is in the process of doing the necessary things and hopefully the line will be fixed by 26/12/2008. I'll be off for my Christmas holidays from 24/12/2008 till 06/01/2009. In the meantime, do please keep sending your commets and I will visit you whenever I can.

The Story Of RM30

Wah, we just came back from 1Borneo. Didn't realize that it's already 9pm. We went there about 4 pm after sending J.J to Kinarut, he wanted to stay for the weekend. There's a lot of happenings in 1Borneo...part from SALES. There's free hand/face painting for children and there's this Indian man who is an expert in Chinese, Arabic and Indian calligraphy...very interesting one....sorry didn't take photo of the Indian man but I have these to show you all...

There are a few paintings that you can choose from..Christmas tree, Reindeer, Mistletoe, Santa. Lily chose Reindeer.

After Lily got her painting done, we went to have our dinner at RasaMas. While having dinner, I suddenly remember that the reason I persuaded my hubby to drive all the way here is because I wanted to go to Kamdar....lol....this must be the doing of all the Christmas decorations, Christmas songs and sales...I was distracted. Finish eating, hubby paid the bill and off we go to Kamdar. While walking to the escalator....

Hubby : Yang....jumpa duit!
Me : uhh...?????...jumpa???? (still walking)
Hubby : Ya bah...duit terjatuh...(counting the money)....nah RM30! (...smiling...)
Me : .....(bingung2x lg)....(someone had accidentally dropped RM30 and my husband has just been lucky......o.k.....now I'm just waiting for someone to yell 'Hei! That's my money!.....but it didn't happen....feel sorry for the person)

.....so from there, the three of us went straight to Kamdar.

THE END

Out With The Kids

Hi friends, been so lazy these days, didn't even border to do any updates. Today, me & hubby decided to go to Wisma Merdeka with the kids. Even though it's only 10am, almost every car parks are full. People seems to be arriving early for the sale. The kids were so excited when they saw Christmas trees on sales. We've bought one last week, so they're got even more excited to hang the ornaments. Went to Segama just to check out the shops.

On the way back, we stopped at Likas Bay. The beach that was once been left out, has turn into a beautiful/clean place with children's playground. We let the kids play for awhile before heading strait home. We were so tired that we all had a good rest for the whole afternoon.

Some photos taken today...

It's Flat!

No, no, it's not flat tire or flat - apartment. Please read through.

It's only 11 am and my tummy is telling me that it needs to be refilled. I've planned to go to the bank in Putatan at about 10 am but there's so many work to be done so I have no choice but to wait until 1 pm. Grrg...grrrg...(my tummy berbunyi).

When I reached the bank, took the number and waited for my turn, lucky me 'coz the next number will be mine. Grrg...grrg...(my tummy again). After the bank, I straight away went to Survey Putatan. I ordered sandwiches with fries and Pepsi from one of the food corner in the building. Thinking that I will certainly going to enjoy my lunch, I sipped my Pepsi and......................................................it doesn't test like the normal Pepsi at all! It's flat.

I called one of their lady staff and asked her if they had mistakenly served me the wrong drink. She went up to the counter to check and came back and told me that it is Pepsi. How can they say it's Pepsi? She was then asked by another staff to go to the counter and when this lady came to me.....

Lady Staff : Miss, sori ya. Tadi saya yang pigi beli tu Pepsi, tapi saya terbeli yang Diet Pepsi, yang tiada gula punya....sori ya.

Since I don't want to spoil my lunch, I just kept quiet. They didn't even bother to offer me other drinks....and it cost me RM3 for the flat Pepsi and RM5.90 for the sandwiches. The next time I make an order, I will say " Pepsi, not flat please'

I just leave it as it is....except the sandwiches. Oh, what a day.

Time For Massage

Since my dear husband couldn't fetch the kids from school these couple of days, he has handed over his duty to me. I've been fetching my kids from school for the past two days, and now my back is hurting me. I remember a post in Shirley's blog on spinal care the do's and don'ts...I have a copy of it somewhere.

Anyway, even though it has only been two days, I feel so stressful with the long journey and traffics and not to mention the heat that made it even worse. With so many things that need to be done in the office and at home, I really need a relaxing massage. I have been thinking to go for a massage but just don't have the time yet. I really need to revitalize my body.

You're The Boss

This happened to me today. As I was discussing on some office matters with my c.c, my boss suddenly appeared.....

Boss : Please fill in the movement application form for me. I'll be going to K.L for a meeting this Sunday and be back on Monday. Get me afternoon flight for Sunday & last flight on Monday.

Me : O.k boss...(returned to my office & started filling the necessary forms...oh ya & called the travel agent too)

...conversation with the travel agent

Me : I would like to book one seat, K.K - K.L this Sunday afternoon, is they any seat left?

T/A : Sorry, afternoon flights are all fully booked, but there is one seat at 7 am via Labuan & I will put you on the waiting list for the 12:15 pm flight.

Me : Hai ya, can do lah.

T/A : And coming back is on?

Me : Monday, last flight please.

T/A : O.k, confirm.

Me : Thank you

...about 10 minutes later

Me : O.k boss, I only managed to get you the 7 am flight via Labuan

Boss : (while looking at the application form)......what...7 am....on Sunday!

Me : (confused).....Well, that's the only flight available...but I've put you on the waiting
list for 12:15 pm.

Boss : No..no..no...I have golf match on Sunday morning. Get xxxxxx to attend the meeting on behalf of me then.

Me : ...uuhhh..o.k...you're the boss

Wish

What to wish
What a wish
I lived the wish
That I couldn't wish for
Comfort on frustrating days
Smiles when sadness intrude
Patience to accept the truth
Courage to know myself
Confidence for when I doubt
Faith so that I can believe
Friendships to melt my heart
Hugs when spirit sag
Beauty for my eyes to watch
Rainbows to follow the clouds
And love to complete my life

But what would I wish for
Would I wish to dream
As if I'll live forever
Or live as if I'll die today
Would I wish to live
Or to love first and live incidentally

And to wish is to risk pain
For everything I have wished
That I gained something
But for everything I gain
I lose something

Life is full of wish
I noticed it
Which is a way of holding on
To the things I love
To the things I am
The things I never want to lose
Because one day somehow
My life will flash before my eyes
And I am to make sure
It's worth wishing

When I grow up, I would like to be a .......

Sorry for not updating my blog, bukan sengaja tau. O.k, today I would like to talk about ones 'AMBITION' or 'CAREER'. I still remember when I was in kindergarten, the teacher asked:-

Teacher: 'Class, what would you like to be when you grow up?'
Children: Policeman, Teacher, Fireman...(these are among the famous ambitions lah konon)

During that era, my ambition was to be a teacher. I would play 'cikgu-cikgu' at home with some of my kampung friends, but you know what...I have a problem with my temper. Being the last of just three siblings, I think that's normal. When I was a bit older, being around with my nephews & nieces, I realized that to be a teacher is a bad idea. During my primary school, I decided that I want to be a...Policewoman...wah! I told my father about it and he said 'Janganlah'...never ask why though, but I guess being a Policeman himself, he knows the pros & cons. Secondary school...change my mind...Stewardess pula...no harm bah kan. Ha..ha..ha..I know it will never happen coz my size at that time was...emmmm...BIG.... Well now, I'm not in any of the above mentioned careers but I'm doing pretty well and happy but at the same time still craving for more. As a mother of two energetic, imaginative and ambitious children, I certainly will guide them through decisions making.

I know a man whose parents insisted him to be a Policeman which is not the man's choice. I know the parents means well & wanted their son to have a good & establish career but what if the son is not interested. Since the man has no full time job & because he wanted to please the parents, so he applied & managed to get a place in the Police Training Center...but of course still not happy lah. During his training, he did, a couple of times, appealed to the mother, but still the mother said no. One of his friend ran away from the training center because of the same problem. I really pity the man. Do you have any comments on this?

Internet Down......again

It has been 3 weeks since the line in the office is down. They say there is a problem with the fiber optic cable and have to wait for the contractor to do the necessary things. Due to this, it would take me sometime to update my blog, since at the moment I can only do it at home. So, to all my blogger friends, please leave your comments and I will get back to you whenever I can.

Sweet Old Friends

My whole body is still aching from the looong journey. I really need a good massage now.....that's what I long for. I received Rosie's sms on Wednesday regarding another raya open house. The invitation was from Famila Kee, another long lost friend. The last time we met was in 1995/1996 in ITM Menggatal. Sorry I didn't reply your sms Rosie....no credit bah. Rosie got hold of me on Friday and we plan to meet up at Likas Shell station at about 7 pm. When we arrived at the house, some of the gals are already there.....and you know what happen when all the gals are together......we were the loudest group.....the other invitees must be talking about us that nite. Meeting old friends, flashed back the old days, getting the latest news, plus the fireworks display from 1Borneo.....it was a wonderful nite. We plan to hold a gathering in the future. Some photos that were taken that nite....

Trip To Tawau

About 22 of us from the office were given the chance to go to Tawau last Saturday.....well actually, we were instructed to go to Kunak to visit one of our officer who is suffering from kidney problem.....oh did I mention that we went by road. We left K.K about 7 am, arrived Ranau about 9:30 am, at 11:08 am arrived Telupid, had our lunch at Checkpoint at about 12:30 pm. We were in Kinabatangan at around 2 pm, reached Lahad Datu at 3 pm and arrived Kunak at abou 4:30 pm. We left Kunak about 45 minutes later and only arrived in Tawau at 7:30 pm. It was a one day journey and we were all tired. Since we have to stick to our limited budget, we stayed in one of the budget hotel in Tawau. My last trip to Tawau was two decades ago with my parents so this was a chance that I could and should not resist.

On the second day, we went to Tanjung Pasar Tawau, it's like our wet market in K.K lah. You can find so many things in TPT, especially products from Indonesia. For me, my main objective was to buy Amplang and salted fish.....I also bought some Kedondong & mangoes. Our journey back to K.K was on 13/10/2008. Here are some photos that I took during the trip...

Raya Open House

Most of my muslim colleague are still on raya leave....including my boss. So, in order to make ourselves busy....we went to raya open houses. Oh, the food was wonderful. I purposely skip breakfast so that I can indulge myself with all the yummy food.

On the 3rd day of raya, one of my bestest friend, Pame, called to inform that our 'long lost friend' Jackie, invited us to her raya open house on Saturday @ 7:30 pm (the next day). Hey....why not, it had been ages since we last met her, Pame promised to get back to me after she contacted another bestest friend, Rosie. To make the story short, I fetched Pame in Kibabaing on Saturday and waited for Rosie at Grace Point. With the help of Abang Sikuriti, we arrived at Jackie's apartment at about 7:30 pm. We talked about so many things....reminiscence about the old school days, it was wonderful. Thanks Jackie for inviting us to your house. We had a great time with you and your wonderful family.

Danger In A Bottle?

Did you know that a bottle can actually kill us? Well, they can. I've read an article from a health magazine regarding this matter. Cans and some plastic containers, such as water and baby bottles, may contains BISPHENOL -A (BPA), a potentially harmful chemical that can leach into our food and drink. Being exposed to BOA increases the amount of estrogent in the body which may cause health problems such as infertility or cancer. How do you tell if plastic bottles and other food storage containers contain BPA, well just turn them over and if your container is polycarbonate, a clear, hard plastic with a #7 recycling code on the bottom and letters PC, then it contains BPA. It is recommended that you buy fresh or frozen produce whenever possible, and heat foods only in glass or ceramic containers, never plastic. If you are looking for a good reusable water bottle, it is recommended that you get the stainless steel versions. Oh, one more thing, polycarbonate plastic is not recyclable. Must get stainless steel water bottle for the children and myself.

Family Matters II

I was shocked to receive an sms from my brother at about 7:45 am informing me that my dad took my mum to the ER early this morning, still complain about the headache. I tried to call my dad through his mobile but no answer, probably he's in the ER. I really hate the feeling when you really want to know the outcome and you can not get the person....ah. I called my brother to ask him but he's still in the office and has not call my dad yet. About an hour later, I managed to talk to him, he told me that at the moment my mum is on drip. Have to wait for the specialist. About 11 pm today, my dad called and informed that my mum has been discharged. She's in her 60 so she really needs a good rest at home. Praise the Lord that it's not serious. Thank you Lord.

Family Matters

I was unable to sleep last nite so decided to jot down what I want to post. A lot of things mingling in my mind. For these couple of days, my mum has not been well. She complain she has headache and gets tired easily. My brother took her to the hospital on Sunday morning for check-up. ECG & x-ray were taken and the result is o.k. There will be another appointment today, Monday, with the bone specialist. Will post on that later. Oh, Lily is having fever, poor her but she'll be enjoying cartoons all day whilst daddy prepare meals.

Well, Hari Raya is just around the corner. Most of my colleague have gone for their holiday till 10th October. The office won't be as busy as before and the phone...well it won't be ringing so much. To all muslim bloggers SELAMAT HARI RAYA, and to the rest...ENJOY THE HOLIDAY.

Lily & J.J are on school break for a week but after that, they'll be sitting for their final test. Both of them goes to chinese school. Need to help them with the revision. Lily & J.J did pretty well for their previous test with 5th & 4th place respectively. Don't want to give them pressure, let them do it one at a time. No high hope but would surely be happy if they can do better this time.

Feeling Down

I am upset and feeling down these couple of days. Telling myself that it is not my fault and not to take interest of what other people would think. It is sad when someone you know condemned you. I have done nothing wrong and I surely do not deserve this. I guess this person didn't realized what she/he has done...never do the 'think before you act'. But as for my next action, I will have to be extra careful whenever I'm around with these kind of people.
