Danger In A Bottle?

Did you know that a bottle can actually kill us? Well, they can. I've read an article from a health magazine regarding this matter. Cans and some plastic containers, such as water and baby bottles, may contains BISPHENOL -A (BPA), a potentially harmful chemical that can leach into our food and drink. Being exposed to BOA increases the amount of estrogent in the body which may cause health problems such as infertility or cancer. How do you tell if plastic bottles and other food storage containers contain BPA, well just turn them over and if your container is polycarbonate, a clear, hard plastic with a #7 recycling code on the bottom and letters PC, then it contains BPA. It is recommended that you buy fresh or frozen produce whenever possible, and heat foods only in glass or ceramic containers, never plastic. If you are looking for a good reusable water bottle, it is recommended that you get the stainless steel versions. Oh, one more thing, polycarbonate plastic is not recyclable. Must get stainless steel water bottle for the children and myself.

Family Matters II

I was shocked to receive an sms from my brother at about 7:45 am informing me that my dad took my mum to the ER early this morning, still complain about the headache. I tried to call my dad through his mobile but no answer, probably he's in the ER. I really hate the feeling when you really want to know the outcome and you can not get the person....ah. I called my brother to ask him but he's still in the office and has not call my dad yet. About an hour later, I managed to talk to him, he told me that at the moment my mum is on drip. Have to wait for the specialist. About 11 pm today, my dad called and informed that my mum has been discharged. She's in her 60 so she really needs a good rest at home. Praise the Lord that it's not serious. Thank you Lord.

Family Matters

I was unable to sleep last nite so decided to jot down what I want to post. A lot of things mingling in my mind. For these couple of days, my mum has not been well. She complain she has headache and gets tired easily. My brother took her to the hospital on Sunday morning for check-up. ECG & x-ray were taken and the result is o.k. There will be another appointment today, Monday, with the bone specialist. Will post on that later. Oh, Lily is having fever, poor her but she'll be enjoying cartoons all day whilst daddy prepare meals.

Well, Hari Raya is just around the corner. Most of my colleague have gone for their holiday till 10th October. The office won't be as busy as before and the phone...well it won't be ringing so much. To all muslim bloggers SELAMAT HARI RAYA, and to the rest...ENJOY THE HOLIDAY.

Lily & J.J are on school break for a week but after that, they'll be sitting for their final test. Both of them goes to chinese school. Need to help them with the revision. Lily & J.J did pretty well for their previous test with 5th & 4th place respectively. Don't want to give them pressure, let them do it one at a time. No high hope but would surely be happy if they can do better this time.

Feeling Down

I am upset and feeling down these couple of days. Telling myself that it is not my fault and not to take interest of what other people would think. It is sad when someone you know condemned you. I have done nothing wrong and I surely do not deserve this. I guess this person didn't realized what she/he has done...never do the 'think before you act'. But as for my next action, I will have to be extra careful whenever I'm around with these kind of people.

My Babies

The Joy Of Raising A Baby

We’re glad you joined our family,
Yet some things make us wonder;
How can a little package like you
Have a voice that’s loud as thunder?

You are so small and oh so cute,
But you are never very shy,
For whenever you want something,
You just open your mouth and cry.
First you moved on hands and knees,
Then you were up on your feet.
We’re chasing you all around the house;
We’re tired; we need a retreat!

Some food is on the table;
Some food is on the floor;
Seems the only place food didn’t go,
Is in the baby we adore.

Diapers here and diapers there,
Stinky... smelly... Whew!
Diapers would have done us in,
If we didn’t love you as we do.

We’re glad you joined our family,
You’re a unique and wonderful treasure.
So, despite the work of raising you,
Being your parents is a total pleasure!

Jalan-Jalan...Cari Makan

I went to one of the bazaar ramadan yesterday and I only managed to buy these...ondeh-ondeh. I was taking my time checking out the stalls when I noticed my dear husband, who had just fetched me after his jogging routine, gave me his sidelong glance....."just choose one you feel like eating most". Well, when we arrived home, Ashley @ Lily and Jason @ J.J were surely enjoying it.

Bloggers

Dear Bloggers, since I'm still new to this, I would appreciate if you could give me your blog address so that I could add into my blog roll. I would like to know more about you bloggers out there. Till then.

Fasting Month

These couple of days have been very s...l...o...w. I guess it has to do with the fasting month. There's not much to do in the office, even my boss seems to take his own time. Since almost all the staff are fasting, I would go out for lunch on my own or buy some food before coming to the office in the morning & eat it in my tiny office. Then again, I enjoy going to the bazaar ramadan where you can find all kinds of kuih/cakes. Anyways......happy fasting to all Muslims.
